First Officer  Kevin "Kevlar" Johnson

One of the things that attracted me to Blue Grass Airlines was the classic

airliners.  I've had a soft spot for them since I saw "The High and the

Mighty " as a kid!   Also, while not a pilot myself, I accumulated 1500

hours as a KC-130 Nav with VMGR 252 in the early 80's, so I love big, low

and slow aircraft!  After getting out of the Marines, I joined the Iowa Air

National Guard and was commissioned in 1990.  Currently I'm a Weapons

Director with the 133 Air Control Squadron.  However, my main occupation is

student, as I am studying to be a Lutheran pastor.

I have enjoyed flying with BGA tremendously.   I love the thought of flying

these great airliners in this region during the 50's!
