Instructions for Registration

The procedure for registration is given below. For this event we simply ask you to nominate your Cruising Ground Speed for your chosen aircraft. We tried this for the GAMR  and it did not cause any problems.

The aircraft that you wish to fly in the GAAR can be any piston engine or turboprop driven aircraft first flown between 1903 and 1999, along with subsequent derivatives. Pilots please remember that the shortest runway for the GAAR is about 3,200 ft in length..

The actual Flight Legs of the GAAR will have a variety of suggested weather variables which are set in the flight sim of your choice.  Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you choose an economical cruise speed to ensure you will have enough of a performance margin capability in your chosen aircraft to compensate for the weather variables.

When reporting flights state the total flight time in minutes from take-off to landing, adding the decimal equivalent for any seconds to the minutes flown.

Here is a conversion chart.  Use this method for all of the GAAR 2024 flights.
