Malayan Airways 1953

(image copyright Bjorn Larsson, www.timetableimages.com)

Malayan Airways began operations in 1947 and was, at the time, a joint venture between Alfred Holt’s Blue Funnel Line and the Straits Steamship company.  At this time the aircraft fleet mainly consisted of DC-3s with an additional local service using the de Havilland DH.89 'Dragon Rapide' for the Eastern end of Borneo.  The flights are predominantly for the DC-3, with the last set for the DH.89.

These flights are taken from the 1953 timetable available at the excellent web site www.timetableimages.com
