October 2006 Newsletter

In addition to WestCoastATC, some Bluegrass pilots fly on VATSIM and IVAO in addition to other independent servers or servers affiliated with a different Virtual Airline.

Here is an invitation from Paul Mensch bgan047 to condsider joining IVAO:

Hello fellow pilot,

About a year ago I subscribed at http://www.ivao.aero  as a member of this International Virtual Airline Organisation.

I used to fly on WestCoast ATC, and still do, but as I live in Europe I always miss the ATC events as they are in night time. London ATC organized an ATC event a few times and joining them gave me a pleasant time.

Now 4 -5 Bluegrass Airlines pilots are flying regularly at IVAO, and 400 – 700 pilots/ATC’s are on line daily.

When I take a look at the pireps summary on the Bluegrass Airlines website it appears that most of the members are not reporting their flights or may be do not fly at all !

Give a new dimension to your flying experience and take a look at IVAO.    www.ivao.aero  Register with your BGA pilot number, mine is BGAN047.

On the IVAO website you will find some programs to download and to install. Just read the instructions carefully.

When more pilots are flying at IVAO we can register our BGA virtual airline at Ivao.

Maybe this is just what you are looking for, you can fly the old crates or modern, whatever you want.

You want to have more information; send an e-mail to: p.f.w.mensch@parelnet.nl

Hope to meet you in the West coast- and IVAO air space !

Regards Paul

Pilots who do not log any time on WestCoastATC for two consecutive months will be removed from the bga profile at WestCoastATC.   If you want to be reactivated click “Join Virtual Airline” and select Bluegrass.  I’ll put you back on the next time I log in.

From the C.E.O.

In order to establish a greater sense of community and to enable our pilots to be able to plan on-line events, I am going to add a “location” column on the roster.  I have filled in some from memory, and as time permits will search my records to add more of them.  To speed things up, send me an email with your current location.

Don’t forget to check out the forum and screen shot pages.

That’s all for now,

Bill Von Sennet
