Waypoint Timers by Coleman Green.
for the Great Aussie Air Rally 2005
For FS 9 only.
Click here to download the Timer package.
Put the file "Timers.cab" in your aircrafts panel folder or better yet put it in the default gauge folder.
In either case you may need to resize the gauges to fit your panel.
Save a backup copy of your panel.cfg file so that you can easily revertto your original if desired. I rename mine to panel_backup.cfg after I have
made a copy.
If you want to use the single gauge with the six timers included, this will work as a starting point.
gauge00=Timers!sixtimer, 340, 6, 400, 40
Copy that line to the end of list of gauges for your main panel.
Then change the 00 to the next higher number.
The 340 is the number of pixels from the left edge of your panel and the 6 is the number of pixels from the top edge of your panel.
If you want to make the gauge larger or smaller the 400 is the width of the gauge in pixels and the 40 the height.
For my DC-3, I changed the numbers to 0, 0, 400, 40 This placed the timers along the top ledge of the panel, on the left.
When you release your brakes click on the bottom of the first timer, it will register zulu time. At waypoint #1, click on the bottom of the second timer, at waypoint #3 click on the bottom of the third timer etc.
Each timer will record zulu time at the time it was clicked. So, you won't have to pause flightsim to write down the time. All of the waypoint times can be recorded after you set the brakes at your destination.
If the arrangement of the six pack gauge isn't desireable for your panel, There are six individual gauges. Read the file Timers_cfg.txt for two
possible ways to position them. Since the gauges will appear differently depending on your screen resolution, you may need to add the third
and fourth parameters for width and height.
Remember to put them at the end of your main panel gauge list and increment each gauge## to one higher than the previous gauge.
Thanks to Coleman Green for designing the gauges, this will be a big help.
