INSTRUCTIONS:

Starting with original panel.cfg file, make a back up copy of it!
It is in the aircraft\default\panel directory.
Make a subfolder FS2k2\Gauges\xxx
Replace the xxx by the name you want to give to your folder.
Place all files in this xxx folder.
Edit your aircraft panel.cfg,

>In the section where you want this gauge to appear
[window??]
>after the last line, thus before next section
>add the line
gauge??=xxx!Race2, ???, ???

EXAMPLE; If you make a new folder in the "Gauge" directory the panel config will look like this:
gauge25=Race!Race2,  995,278,296,231
The coordinates will make a big ugly lamp. You will want to change!

where xxx is again the name of your folder, where ???,??? are the coordinates where you want the gauge to appear.and the rest is size inforation.

There it is!
If it's not clear enough, please contact me.

This gauge is designed for people who fly in races where a limit on vertical speed is used and you do not wish to infringe on the race limits. It only flashes lights, we could make it do something nasty to the racer if we wanted. Turn off the fuel?

This gauge can be placed almost anywhere to suit your need, maybe in a corner of your VERTICAL speed gauge.
It responds to electrical failure, avionics must be on to work and it can be switched on/off by clicking on the LED.
Below 60 knots, slow flashing green: no visual VERTICAL speed limit.
Flashing to show that the gauge is working, not extinguished because you wouldn't know if it's still working.
ABOVE 60 knots, below 400 fpm knots, green: vertical speed within limits.
ABOVE 60 knots, ABOVE 400 fpm and BELOW 800 frpm, yellow: near limits.
ABOVE 60 knots, ABOVE 800 fpm, flashing red: above limits.
