description= ALPHA Simulations 2004\n\nCessna T-50 Bobcat\n\nThe Cessna T-50 is a delightful aircraft that embodies all of the most endearing, and enduring, qualities of the light piston twin. It has round engines, a classic design, and excellent performance and handling. The latter qualities prompted the U.S. Government to enlist the Bobcat as a military version of the five-seat civil monoplane, which was introduced in 1940. It first served the R.C.A.F. as an advanced trainer, the 'Crane', whilst the USAAF version was called the AT-17. The light transport variant was known as the UC-78. Early versions used a constant-speed propeller, but later models were all fitted with wooden fixed-pitch airscrews. Otherwise, only minor differences were found between the sub-types. For medium-range cross-country flights, the economical and reasonably comfortable Cessna is a great pick if you are not in a hurry. The Cessna Bobcat was the original plane used in the 1950s TV series "Sky King" as the famous "Songbird", and Dale's repaint of that has been modified for this Bluegrass set.
Happy flying!
