About an hour after reaching altitude we should be crossing the border with India.  This flight is about as long as the Gander- Keflavik leg. 

Hyderdad off the left with a 7000' rwy and an NDB 223.

At this point we are paralleling the border about 25 miles south of us.  The border as we cross it is 40 miles ahead and 211 miles from Karachi.

Good bye Pakistan, good morning India as we cross the border.

Deesa Airport with a NBD is ahead and to our right.  It is a very small strip only 2808', the NDB is 248.  We are starting to see a few small mountains ahead.

Our route in India is across the northern half of the country, well south of Delhi with Calcutta the only major city.

300 mile into the flight with 800 to go.  Just ahead there is a VOR at Pratapgarh, freq 114.9.  There appears to be a small community to the left, I assume that is Pratapgrah.

Bhopal os off to our right. It has and airfield with 1 runway 6700'  with an ILS 109.9 heading 299 and another 5980' rwy.  the NDB is 347  and the VOR is 117.9.

Jabalpur off to the right is a small rwy, 4500' NDB 381

 Ranchi off to the left has an airport with a 8900' rwy,  NDB 285 and VOR 116.9.

Jamshedpur to the front right has a 3400' rwy, VOR 115.4 and NDB 400.
