KMSY New Orleans  - KTLH Tallahassee

Off at 1300, climbing to 5500' on a heading of 081.  This course will take us just off the coast showing us the beautiful beaches along the panhandle.  For the aviation buffs there are a string of terrific museums along this route,  If you ever get down here it would be a cardinal sin if you even missed one.  Mobile has one that includes the Battleship Alabama and  the submarine USS Drum and a great Aviation museum.  Then the spectacular Pensacola Naval museum,  Eglin AFB, Ft Rucker for Army aviation and a small one at Tyndal AFB.

Vors along the way are Gulfport 109.0; Brookley (Mobile) 112.8; Saufley 108.8 (Pensacola); Panama City 114.3: Tallahassee 117.5;  we  will be landing on RWY 36, ILS 110.3, Heading 001 with an elevation of 82'.

These are the barrier islands that add some protection from hurricanes.  Mississippi off the left and Alabama 40 miles ahead.

Passing Gulfport 19 miles off the left.

The city of Mobile 24 miles to the left.  A lot of shipe were built in shipyards along that bay during WWII.

Hey we are back over Florida.  Pensacola coming up.

Thats Pensacola Regional Air[port off to the left.

Most of the land from here to Apalachicola makes up Eglin AFB  which has about 5 airports within itself.  Thats Eglin AFB (the airport) on the left.

Coming up on the right is Panama City (Florida that is ).  100 mile to go.

Panama City is just across that bay, I was just up there about 6 months ago.

15 miles from TLH turn to Downwind leg of 180 deg,  turning base, have the ILS, turning final Have the runway.

Good after, Mr Governor.
