Get those Eskimos home to Wiseman
So lets get you going here.
I want you to fly that Beaver outside there to Wiseman. Two of the passengers on
the DC-3 where Inuit’s returning from hospital in Fairbanks and are
anxious to get home to Wiseman.
There also is some mail and supplies on board. Since you haven’t flown this leg before I
suggest that you take the route of Bettles (PABT) to Coldfoot
(CSX) then on into the right valley.
Just keep the pipeline on your right as you fly in the valley and the
runway is ahead. Wiseman is a 2000’
gravel runway but the first 300’ are unserviceable, there is a large yellow X
on the runway. On the bulletin Board
over there we have a chart with the Airport Conditions posted, suggest you
check it out before each flight as they change often up here. Your return flight will be bringing out some
air cargo and mail.
