VFR 2500-2000ft, a long DR leg across the watershed to Fitzroy Crossing, which has a convenient lake nearby to aid navigation, and then a shorter DR to Noonkanbah. YNKB is not in default FS9 scenery, but was copied from GoogleEarth. Saw the first clouds of the trip during the last hour - some scattered cumulus at about 6000ft, with the odd patch of herringbone cirrus above it - very pretty.

The first leg was actually to Argyll Station, the site of which is now under Lake Argyll, ao I have extended it to YARG. Route: VFR 1500ft, following the Ord River to Lake Argyle , and then the West side of the Lake.

Left YTST in much better weather than yesterday\\\'s for what should be the longest leg of my journey to Perth. Although this part of WA has an even crinklier edge than the previous one, the improved visibility allowed me to take a more direct route while still keeping in sight of the coast. Crossing the King Leopold Range I was aware of thunderstorms aheasd and on both sides, but pressed on, and beat the weather to Derby by about an hour. Next leg - the Great Sandy Desert and Eighty Mile Beach

No radios, no gyrocompass, and a crusing speed of 50kias if you\\\'re lucky. Starting from YWYM in rain and 3nm visibility, we headed north down the Cambridge Gulf to the coast at about 300ft agl, turned left, and followed the crinkly bits, keeping the blue stuff in sight on the right (the weather improving en route), and eventually landed safely at Mungalulu-Truscott.
